Over the years Hip Hop has evolved from gangster rap to electronically versatile tunes. No longer does hard beats or factious rhymes define rap but rather poetic and hypnotic electronic rhythms that dare emcees to be different. With the clever quote “scared money makes no money,” up and coming rapper T-Eazy is an artist who attempts to revive the game with his lyrical prowess and a sleek combination of old and new. Whether it is old school lyricists or this decades hip hop kings, Eazy has been influenced by them all and attempts to make his mark on history.

Inspired by the quote, “It’s time to make power moves and get the chedda.  And buy the real nice things that makes life betta…No foolish acts, moves must be clever. I’m down for whatever, I gotta blow son, it’s now or never” by Big L, he is making life changes for himself. Born and raised in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, NY 22-year old T-Eazy also known as Tyrell Robinson to family and friends found music early in his youth. At the tender of 12 Eazy began rapping to cassette tapes by using a karaoke machine he purchased with money he earned doing odd jobs in his neighborhood. Through this he was not only able to develop his flow as a rapper but also his creativity as a writer. By the time he was 15-years released his first project. Titled History in the Making, who knew this album would be the jump-start of his career. Although he was in high school at the time, Eazy was able to complete his education while as promoting his debut album to his fellow classmates. He steadfastly garnered a strong buzz amongst his peers. Motivated by the success of his debut, Eazy released his second mixtape 718 Wit Me Vol.1. While this did not garner the same positive response as HM, it never deterred him from the path of music. Motivated by the disappointment of 718, to produce an album, which would rival that of his first, Eazy released 718 Wit Me 2nd Dose. Through hard work and dedication, he was able to sell over 1,000 units from the back of his car in all five boroughs. This alone was an accomplishment in itself.

While creating music was his passion, Eazy also aspired to be an entrepreneur. In 2004, he partnered with his childhood friend and fellow hip hop lover Omar Mayers, also known as OP, to form the music label Next Generation (NG) Records. Over the past four years, Eazy and Omar began branding the label and created an unshakable foundation. The year 2008 proved to be a pivotal year for the emcee. In April of 2008 he won first place at AD The General “Forbidden One Emcees Elegant Hoodness Showcase” solidifying himself in the underground rap world. This proved to be a key moment the rising emcee’s life. He soon began performing for clubs in his hometown of NYC including Vesta, Evolution, Pyramid and many others. While his live performances garnered him fans and dedicated followers, he also became a local star amongst college students through their radio stations. Some college radio stations that have played his music are CUNY Brooklyn College, Baruch College, and Westbury College. Not only did his music garner a consistent rotation during the stations many programs, Eazy had one on one interviews with each radio station. However one of his crowning achievements occurred in September of 2008 when he was interviewed by morning host Angela Yee and rapper Joe Budden’s on the Morning After show on Sirius Radio. Both Eazy and fellow NG artist R.Notes music received positive reviews from the hosts and the listeners sparking renewing their drive for supreme musical enlightenment.

In 2009 Eazy along with his fellow NG artists went on a club and college tour performing in cities such as in the Philadelphia, Connecticut and NYC between the months of September and December. Currently he is working on his project was released on January 10, 2010 to rave reviews. His first single “Rock” has been receiving positive reviews and airplay in clubs and online radio stations. He has been featured on websites such as YoRaps, DatPiff, and many others. Although it has taken him sometime to become the artist he is today, he has never lost faith in his future as a successful emcee. When asked what his ultimate goal in his journey to his success, Eazy rhymed, “to be happy doing what I love to do most.”
